Question

What is a bounced email in Phishing?

Answer

In Phishing, a bounced email is defined as an email that we have received an auto-response from a user's email. These auto-response messages can include:

  • Mailbox Full
  • Delayed
  • Email Address Not Found

Please see [Campaign Result Definitions for more information.

A bounced user email that is subsequently fixed after the start of a campaign will not update the data for that particular campaign. All campaign results are a snapshot. Making changes, other than properties, will not change past campaign results. Correcting the email of the bounced user should allow the mail to be delivered on future campaigns.

Note: Bounced emails will also be counted in the No Response category.
